Springs
“Kerri killa”
The strongest flowing spring in the area is “Kerri killa” which lays deep in the forest south of Rävninge. The aquifer flows deep underground and the water is regarded as good for your health. In the beginning of the 20th century there were many who came to the spring to drink of the water which was regarded as good for your health and well-being.
”Killan”
If you follow the road from church going north you will after a bit of one kilometer reach “Killan”. The well or Killan was dug sometime in the 17th or 18th century. The edges are dressed with bricked up stone while the bottom of it is made of gravel. In the well there is a stone wedge with which you can regulate the water height. The well is approximately 1,20 meters deep.
Here they collected water for the household but also for the animals. Next to the well are two rocks which were used as scrubbers when washing laundry.
The water has been of good quality, but during the early 1930s Televerket (Phone network) buried a national cable on the other side of the road and after that the water flow waned and the quality was lowered.s.
