If you need a handyman, a car mechanic or any other professional service there is help to be found at a close distance.  Entrepreneurship is extensive and many industries are represented.
Among the bigger businesses is the sawmill which is included in the Vida- group. Here the 65 hired saws and planes lumber that later will be used for construction material. The main part of it is exported to the Netherlands, but also mounts, pilings and panels are delivered from Hästveda to, amongst others, the rest of Sweden, Denmark and Great Britain. The transportation of materials is handled by, amongst others, the haulage contractor Harryskog AB, whose lumber trucks are a common sight in Hästveda with environs. 
Wood raw materials of other kinds is something that Solör bioenergy handles. The district heating company manages operations in 61 locations around Sweden, Hästveda included. Many of the real estates in the center are connected to Solör’s district heating network and only fossil free bio energy is used. 
Fossil free energy is also the business idea of Zenitec. The solar power specialist engages in both small and big projects, everything from great public solar power fields to smaller installations for private house roofs. 
Sustainability also includes recycling and that is what HÅAV, Hästveda recycling AB, manages. Here you are welcome, both as a business or private person, to leave materials like iron, paper and plastic. 
About 1730 persons and businesses jointly own Brittedals energy network which is an economical association. Through the subsidiaries they manage electricity network management for the electricity market and electricity production. All possible excess is reinvested in the operation.
