Hästveda riding trail

In Hästveda three longer trails for riding cross each other. Therefore Hästveda is an excellent base point if you want to explore the more than 300 kilometers long riding- and drive trail which goes through several municipalities in Scania. 

The trail was finished in 2014 after many years of work in the form of a Leader-project supervised by Campus Helsingborg. From here you can easily ride to the connection points in both Perstorp’s and Hörby’s municipalities. Why not plan for a really long and lovely holiday ride over several days with overnight stays and rests along the way?

In the areas around Hästveda the trail goes through a varied landscape with both forests and meadows and goes just along both Skärsjön och Lursjön. There are many connecting gravel roads which make it so you can ride smaller trails if you only have a few hours to experience nature from the horseback.

Since the project was implemented with EU-money the accessibility has been of very high importance. It is not only possible to ride along the trail but you can also drive with a horse carriage. The riding trail is formed using the already available road network, mainly gravel roads with low traffic. This means that other groups than horseback riders, for example hikers and cyclists, can use the trail.
